Psychic Interaction

The psychic (Type 1) includes interactions with ghosts, spirits etc. that require to use energies - other than their own - to manifest in some way. As a general rule of thumb, we might say that this type of psychic interaction is most often associated with entities that were once living beings.

Although these are by no means the only types of entity that can be involved in psychic interaction, the great majority of such activity usually encountered comes from once living entities. In any event, the entity requires to take, gain or be given energy to manifest physically through psychic interaction.

However, it's not all one way - with the entity, ghost or spirit 'tapping in' to a person's psychic energy to enter the physical - it works in reverse too. The psychic aspect of our minds allows us to 'tune in' to them as well. It allows us to be aware of an entity outside of our physical world.

In a situation where there are several people present, it accounts for the occasions when only one person becomes aware of a ghost - as that spirit is still outside of the physical and beyond the awareness of the others. The psychic person has 'tuned in' or has been 'tuned into'. Effectively, what is happening is that the psychic person's psychic mind is acting like an arial and passing the information gained to the brain. This information does not come from our physical world. It's all about energies, the psychic mind arial picks up the entity energy from outside of our physical dimension. The energy coming from the entity allows only the psychic person to be aware of the entity's presence as the entity's energies are not picked up through the day-to-day physical senses of the other people present. It's a mental/psychic mind awareness thing.

For the psychic person to 'see' or 'hear' entails a two way conversion of energies. If the entity chooses to be 'seen' or 'heard' by the psychic person alone, it converts the person's psychic energy - or, just as often, its own energies - into a form that it can feed back to the person's psychic arial. This reception by the psychic sixth sense is converted by the brain into the physical sensations of sight or hearing. The brain, being embedded in our physical world, can only interpret information coming in from outside in terms of the five physical senses that it is wired up for and about which it knows. Thus, the brain converts the psychic signal into a physical sensation that it understands.

If the person is aware of their psychic nature, then an event like this would be viewed as a two-way psychic meeting, with their psychic ability being central to what was happening.

If the person is not aware of their psychic nature, then they are equally unaware of their part in the process. It would then seem, to all intents and purposes, that a ghost had dropped in - unannounced - through its own abilities ... when, in fact, the ghost, deciding to be seen or heard, had converted the psychic energies that the person didn't even know they were using - or converted its own energies - to be picked up psychically. Even though the person was unaware of using psychic abilities, the process still doesn't alter - the psychic arial picks up the ghostly conversion of energy and the brain still interprets it physically.

To those who say it doesn't work like that - it might be worth bearing in mind the case of EVPs and other electronic recording techniques. How does a ghost, spirit or entity manage to record in 99.9% of cases without making any audible sound? The thinking rapidly gaining ground is that under certain conditions, the ghost interacts with and converts physical world electrical/electro magnetic wavelength energies - and by using that converted energy - interacts with the recording system. The similarities are striking. The recording system receives a signal that it 'knows' how to use in this physical world. In the same way, the brain also receives a signal that it is able to use.

Stepping forward. Same few people, same psychic person. The ghostly entity decides to make the others jump by making the odd noise or two. It can make the psychic person hear a noise without any additional energies than used above. But the others in the room are not psychic so cannot even pick up the entity energies, let alone convert them into any physical awareness. In the same way a ghost, spirit or entity can convert energy into a physical form that everyone can hear (such as in a recording, mentioned above) it can also go a step further and utilise psychic energies in all manner of ways.

The non-psychic people who are with the psychic person, suddenly hear tapping on a wall. To them, it must be caused physically or they would not be able to hear it. Whereas, the ghost or spirit has converted psychic energy into energy that can interact in the physical world. It hasn't developed a 'physical' knuckle to tap on a table but in the same way that forms of energy can strike an object and cause sound, the wall is 'tapped'.

Being a ghost that likes attention, this one uses the psychic person's energy to put in a little appearance for the enjoyment of the non-psychic ones. Now this is going to drain a lot of energy from the psychic person. If you see someone who is truly psychic in action, one of the most noticeable effects on the Psychic, themselves, is the tiredness that they feel at the end of a psychic session. Those who are aware that they are using their psychic energies come to expect this. Those that are unaware that they are using psychic energies often feel that since the ghost 'moved in', it has had a negative effect on their well-being.

We frequently hear of the tiredness that seems to come with a ghost or a spirit haunting - even to the extent of aches and pains. The more physical effects can be due to psychic 'vampirism' of a somewhat different nature. This is still associated with what has been said above but entities do act like 'energy parasites' at times - feeding off life forces and psychic energies to continue to experience the senses of the living. This can range from mild cases to quite extreme examples and this kind of phenomena is another article in its own right.

A psychic person might be adept at focussing their abilities to interact with the 'heavier' spectrum of the paranormal - immortal beings/energies who have never existed in a 'life form' (We are talking the Occult here) - and the 'heavy brigade' might use psychic means to manifest - but that is still a Type 1 interaction where the psychic mind is at work. It happens! But the Type 2 interactions happen too. Where a whole spectrum of the paranormal / supernatural can interact without obvious psychic causes - so, onto that next ...

We have, perhaps covered a good percentage of paranormal events, especially where they relate to ghosts, spirits and once living entities. But we have not looked at the Type 2 phenomema - where the paranormal and supernatural burst into our physical world without any apparent psychic activity connection. We have, however, discussed 'energies'.

It would appear that it is not only people that radiate energies. Places appear to be able to do this too - especially places that have been 'charged' by rites and rituals; carried out over long periods by people. Graveyards are a good example, as are buildings - such as hospitals, asylums, historic locations ... sites where basic human emotions have permeated the very fabric of the area. These areas can act like 'holding areas' or portals of paranormal and supernatural energies. In many ways, this energy can be more potent than psychic energy as it is already 'distilled' to allow the paranormal or supernatural to make immediate use of it. It creates a channel into which the other dimensions can enter this one and manifest into the physical.

This, you might rightly think, is still the result of psychic activity. It is ... but it is more a form of psychic legacy working, a kind of 'indirect' psychic energy. It might be viewed as a bridge between the dimensions that requires only associated or 'trigger' conditions to be met to become active. Non psychic people as well as psychics can be equally involved in this kind of phenomena. This is because the means to transformation and manifestation into the physical dimension is at the disposal of the paranormal within the location itself - so, people giving energies are not required.

Notice the words " ... requires only associated or 'trigger' conditions to be met to become active" - and that could be anything that disturbs the location's energies or disturbs existences that associate with the location and its energies. Really a case of doing the 'wrong' thing and off it all goes - whether done intentionally or not. This can produce very powerful phenomena indeed entering the physical world - but the phenomena itself is still energy interacting with the physical and not the energy becoming physical. A profound difference!

Even deeper into Type 2 phenomena. Events that occur without human psychic interaction or historical psychic legacies.


We are really getting more into the Occult aspects with this kind of phenomena as we tend to leave behind the 'once living' entities at this point. It seems that the 'once living' ghosts and spirits etc. need some kind of human energies - psychic interaction or 'psychic legacy' - to be able to manifest into our physical dimension. It becomes the point where the paranormal crosses meaning with the supernatural. We leave life based energies and existences to concentrate on the realms of what we percieve as non-mortal energies, existing beyond the limitations of the 'once alive' categories.

That is not to say that interactions with such existences cannot be made through psychic means, as they certainly can but these are a 'class' of existences which can interact by using purely their own energies - either directly or indirectly with the physical world.

There is serious belief in a spectrum of such energy existences; ranging from natural elementals which are still really tied to the Earth (and in some cases, to collective life forces), through to Angels, Demons and Dieties. We are also treading the approach pathways to belief, whether New Age, Pagan, Wiccan and Witchcraft - through Occultism - to orthodox religion. Although exceedingly rare, these existences do interact with us. It appears that some of these phenomena can be location based and of natural associations rather than tied to human association - perhaps here, life in general creating a 'super force'. However, there are the interactions where the paranormal / supernatural manifests through its own energies only. In all such cases, for its own reasons - (Please note this) - and which are made apparent to the witness. Although the rarest, they are the least baffling as to the why - because the reason is made known to the individual(s) involved.


We have covered, in a very brief fashion, the array of paranormal possibilities which might be encountered. We have touched on how we interact with energies and how those energies interact with us at a basic level. Perhaps this is where we might put some more detail in about how some experiences are caused and then sensed by us during such an interaction.


Doing a reverse of the above, we start with the non-mortal energies that have no requirement for third party energies ('super existences'). These can interact directly at a physical level and manifest in a physical sense so that our five senses - sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste do directly get information from physical interaction. On exceedingly rare occasions, overwhelmingly so. It must be said that this is the rarest of rare phenomena. It appears that existences such as this will, in almost every case, still interact indirectly through 'controlled by themselves' psychic or energy conversion means, rather than the outright physical everything. The reason, it seems, is so that our minds aren't blown, to put it bluntly.

This seems to run counter to the general belief that they are 'all out to harm us'. It also runs counter to the current thinking that super existences of the 'demon' variety are everywhere and striking at us at every opportunity. It would seem that such super existences take into consideration that we cannot interact with them directly, so they choose to do so in ways that we can cope with. But ... that shouldn't totally discount some of our demonic ideas about some of them!

What we see as 'demonic activity' certainly does happen ... but if this activity is really being caused by extremely powerful but lesser entities and energies than super existences, it opens an awe inspiring insight to the power and capabilities of the real 'big league'. Perhaps a better expression would be 'Cosmic Big League' because the real demarkation of this class of beings and energies is that they are not 'tied' to this planet and the energies of life and the living. A rather neat way of thinking about it is like this; if life had never developed on the Earth - would there still be ghosts, spirits, entities and elementals etc.? The answer must be "No". But the Cosmic Big League would still be there as they are tied to the universe itself. This would take several articles in their own right to even begin to explore the ramifications.

Now, please don't be thinking that ghosts and spirits are actually on this planet and within our physical dimension. Some are indeed on the planet but separated dimensionally and 'vibrationally' from us. A new word - 'vibrationally'. We begin to venture into paranormal energies or energy frequences. That's enough of the science talk but what it points to is something that has been understood by psychics through the ages. 'Vibrations' is a word quite often used in 'psychic circles'. Sounds a bit like what Granny used to say but Granny might have been ahead of her time on this one. Putting it basically, ghosts and spirits exist through different vibrational energies simply because they occupy other dimension to our physical one. To be physical and living beings - our 'energies' and physicality are dictated by not only our physical dimension but our place - the Earth - within it.


Aliens getting out of their UFO on Earth would still possess similar - but not the same - energy values as we do. Because their origin in the Universe is different, their evolution is different - so there would be differences in energy values too. They might have abilities that we don't have - and vice-versa. But being bound, as we are, to this physical dimension's 'vibrations', the aliens are as physical as we are and interact with us at a purely physical level.

OK ... OK - what about the acceptance by many of 'other dimensional' aliens? There is every possibility that ours is not the only universe so aliens could put in an appearance where what they would see as existence doesn't align with our concepts of it. Also, allowance should be made that other beings - within our own physical universe - could be very able to approach us by utilising abilities to do so through 'non-physical' dimensions.

Aliens might not seem pertinent to an article dealing with the psychic, paranormal activity of ghosts et al ... but many schools of thought do run in this direction, so this short 'detour' is an important consideration.


Within our physical universe, everything you see, hear, touch, taste and smell is a form of energy - it might just have taken on the appearance of an apple. Energy still zooms about but some of it has been transformed into the smallest particles that make up atoms - it has been transformed into matter by vibrations within energies (scientific cutting edge thinking is that). What causes the vibrations - it isn't the energy itself but the structure of our universe that underpins even energy ... and the best of it is that this structure is underpinned by other dimensions (11 at the last count) within the physical one that we all know and love.

So, it's not a great leap of faith to come to terms with yet more dimensions beyond those that make up the physical universe where life exists. The dimensions where the energies of existence have different vibrations, wherein are ghosts and spirits. If we do indeed cross over, the next question must be - how? It has to revolve around the concept of The Soul. There are differing views of the souls's journey through life and death but it is agreed that it is needed to bridge those two states of being. It is put forward here that the soul is the energy 'container' of the experiences of this life but has within it the vibrational energy of the 'afterlife dimension'. A 'cosmic container' that, while we live, is linked to the spiritual, dimensional cosmos as well as our day-to-day existence. (Another set of articles in their own right on that alone.)
