O.R.B.S. Paranormal Investigation Group Findings -
Investigators: Jonathan, Stuart, David, Gayle, Debbie, Ben
Jon's Account:
Jon picked up on various names but unfortunately we can find no references to them. All we can say is that the site where the pub was built was once houses and there had also been a rest home on the site as well.
Jon got the name Thompson; this may relate to a Frederick Thompson, who bought a roller coaster ride and placed it at Jubilee Gardens, in the area where the pub has been built.
For me I think the most interesting thing that happened was when we all came down stairs and I was watching the cctv. I saw the ghost or spirit of a man sitting at the table. We went over and the EMF meter was giving off a very high reading which had not been showing in that area before.

Jon saw a person sitting at the table the EMF Meter reacts. Possible paranormal ghost or spirit contact or just electrical wiring???
Stuart's Account:
The strangest thing that happened to me was hearing a door open at exactly the same time that Jon radioed from up-stairs. He was asking if someone had come up the stairs when the same sound had been heard from the same door on an evening prior to our investigation.

Jon radios group for the location of where they are due to noises heard on the stairs, as if someone is walking up or down.

Stuart and Ben heard a sound like a creaking door open or was it just a bang from outside.???
David's Account:
Feels that all of the things that happened can be explained by other things and that nothing paranormal was happening.
Gayle's Account:
I had a really strange feeling down stairs, by the toilets which made me made feel sick. Also, when doing the baseline test, both Debbie and me thought we heard a humming sound - but this may have come from outside as it was difficult to locate where the sound was coming from.
The most notable thing that happened was when Jon thought he saw a person sitting at a table. I got the EMF meter and it was recording some very high readings which had not been there before. Then, the readings quickly disappeared.
Debbie's Account:
On completing the baseline tests on the upper floors, Gayle and I went to the second floor - just before the others followed. Whilst stood at the stair end of the corridor, I clearly heard a woman's voice humming. I advised Gayle of what I was hearing and as we listened, the humming was clearly audible to both of us. At this time there were still people in the pub and I am not sure whether there was any music playing downstairs but it appeared to me that the humming was coming from the far end of the corridor, not downstairs. On investigating this end of the corridor there was no person present and I did not hear the noise again. On investigating other top rooms, Jon identified a woman by the name of Mary, possibly Thompson. I advised Jon that I felt that she had been humming (whilst brushing her hair). A few moments later, a female in the group who was linked to the pub, stated that she felt that her hair was being brushed. The EMF meter reacted to the space around this lady and the temperature showed to be lower around her body. The lady was able to identify where she felt the spirit was standing and when she felt she had moved and a number of the EMF and temperature reading correlated with this.
Haunted Travellers Rest Pub, Top Floor Plan
On starting the investigation we went to the attic area. Whilst stood in the end room, I felt a cold sensation on my arm. This, to me, felt as though a cold hand was on my left forearm as I could feel the pressure of the fingers and thumb around my arm. I did feel a number of breezes whilst in the two attic rooms which were not present when we completed the baseline tests. The EMF meter did go off around the area that I felt that hand touch me but no EMF's had been detected during the baseline tests. There were also a number of lights visible on the wall in the end attic room which seemed to appear and disappear at intervals during the investigation. These were seen by a number of people in the first group.
Jon was able to identify the name Tom and Thompson as well as Robert and another male who was linked to a band of some description. It was at this time that a spirit by the name of Albert came to Jon and was blocking a spirit from entering. I believe that this may have been my Grandfather who wanted to protect me from this particular person.
The group experienced clear footsteps on the stairs and contacted the team downstairs to see if anyone had been on the stairs. Nobody had been theret and they reported hearing someone walking on the stairs from where they were situated as well. We completed our final investigation on the upper floor and Jon was able to gain responses to questions by knocks. These response knocks did not come from one place consistently and I personally felt that there was more than one spirit responding to the questions.
On investigating the next floor down, we started at the far end of the corridor. Whilst stood there, people witnessed a ghostly child size figure pass through the bottom of the corridor near the stairs. I witnessed this shadow move into an adjacent room. On investigating this room, Jon identified a child who requested that we leave the room.

We then moved to one of the middle rooms and I immediately felt cold hands around my throat. I informed Jon who took some EMF reading which identified EMF around my neck. I could feel two thumbs on the bottom of my throat and I felt that my voice became strained with the pressure. Jon spoke to this spirit who stated that he did not like me as I reminded him of someone who broke his heart. I feel that this is perhaps the person who my Grandfather was blocking from coming through. I then started to feel that my head was being pushed forward and the activity then stopped abruptly.
On investigating the main bar floor area, I did not have many experiences. I was unable to obtain any reading from the K2 meter. I did, on a couple of occasions, hear people walking down the stairs and on contacting the team who were upstairs, it was again clear that no one was on the stairs.
