Barek Halfand

Paranormal Pundit and Supernatural Journalist Extraordinaire

Perception9 Paranormal is proud to be able to showcase the work of Barek Halfhand. Paranormal investigations and ghost-hunts are fascinating in their own right but what does not often come across is a haunted location's atmosphere and the overall feeling a psychic person may get. With Barek's skeptic take on a place and the results of his photo shoots, we get both. Add to that the information he gives for paranormal and psychic investigators wishing to visit the places that he covers, we feel that we can offer, with Barek's work, an intriguing magazine of the 'Mood of the Paranormal'. Greeting all ...

Without protracted preamble, I am well aware of the mechanics associated with of pariodelia, matrixing apophenia, pixelation, simulacrum and anthropomorphizing ... And as I readily admit this may be the reality in some of these cases, I also include in most of my posts; the original photo followed by the progressive stages of enlargement that in most cases clearly depicts the anomaly in question prior to the subsequent final photo that includes augmentation ... My methodology is simple: as a sensitive I am attempting to match photographically what I am generally sensing at certain sites that I frequent but am not adept enough developmentally to afford definitive discernment ... what you see in my threads are basically a candid inclusion into my screening process as I add them to my current threads as I see them disregarding the potential for gratuitous skepticism that is all too common these days and obviously motivated by competition as opposed to objective research ...

And while some of those 'items of interest' featured in many of my threads are more than likely my imagination at work, I also felt that the preponderance of inexplicable anomalies present in some of those highlight photos serve to completely purge any lingering doubts I have even coming from the completely unbiased and skeptical mind set that I employ during during some of my occasional moments of uncertainty ...

In reference to the photography; keep in mind that I have elected to utilize an inexpensive Easy Shoot camera for a variety of reasons that are based on functionality and and other mitigating factors unrelated to financially feasibility ... the reality of working in the environments that I do, coupled with the incompatibility of a heavy, clumsy, complicated camera in the type of sites that I frequent, often in the dark, often in adverse weather, often in structurally compromised buildings strewn with debris, occasional in crime ridden neighborhoods has made my choice of a light, handy 12.1 Kodak one of prudence ... the amount of time I have spent in the field has dictated the gear I use and when trying to shimmy halfway up a wall via drain pipe with a big bulky camera, with a huge expensive manual focus lens in one hand to get a shot through a window would hardly be practical ...
