Salem Orb Photos
Salem Ghost Tour Spirit Orbs.
While in Salem, I took a nocturnal historical tour of the sites said to be most haunted. It was a dark night, well ... because it was ... and a cloudy one at that. However, I took photos anyway. I use a Canon G5 digital camera. The pics were pretty dark, as you might imagine, but when I brightened them there were orbs clearly visible in several.
The tour was a lot of fun. I've included just orb photos here, but will put the whole tour on my Flickr site. Pictured are the Old Salem Jail, horribly overcrowded and in use from the 1800's until fairly recently in 1983, I believe. David Berkowitz was kept here for some time. It is the most atmospheric building in Salem ... it just radiates psychic energy. It was for sale, they said. Also pictured is a house where a domestic murder occured on the second floor. There is an impressive orb shot here. Also pictured is a house where the poor souls falsely accused of witchcraft by those rotten little twerps were grilled before Judge Hathorne, among others. The man who owned the house regretted his complicity. The Town Hall photo also seemed very active.
There were many shots with nothing orb-like visible, which was reassuring that these were not the result of water on the lens or a lens flaw. I was flattered that they would show up for us. I've included a few without orbs, like the tour group in front of the jail, for comparison.
